When
Out now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam. Released 28 August 2026 worldwide; Japan got the console release a day earlier, on 27 August. Developer is Tamsoft, publisher is Bandai Namco Entertainment.
Before release the Steam storefront showed 27 August while every publisher page said 28. Steam unlocks at a fixed moment rather than on a local calendar date, which is all that was. Academic now it is out.

The Season Pass is 6 playable characters plus customisation items including uniforms, all of it scheduled to release by August 2027. The Japanese DLC page breaks the same thing into three character sets. The Premium edition is PS5 only, is the sole physical premium SKU in the West, and delivers its Ultimate content as a code by email rather than on the disc. Japan has an entirely different set of physical editions, so do not quote Japanese bundle contents at a Western reader.

Pre-order bonus, every edition
Steam lists these on every edition. That is the page they were checked on, so that is the page they are attributed to.
- 2026 Japan National Team and World Youth Jersey Set, 2 costumes
- Early unlock of the Brazil Youth team
- Two arranged BGM tracks, "Moete Hero -WORLD FIGHTERS Ver.-" and "Moete Hero -Youth Ver.-"
All three are early unlocks, not exclusives. Steam lists a footnote saying the Brazil Youth team and both tracks can also be obtained by progressing through the game. That is the single most useful line in this section.
Japanese coverage also mentions classic middle school uniforms for owners of the previous game. Not confirmed for the Western release, so it stays off this page unless it shows up on the local store page.

PC tiers
Minimum, for 1080p60 in performance mode: i5-10600K or Ryzen 5 5600X, 16 GB RAM, GTX 1650 Super 4 GB or RX 5600 XT 6 GB.
Recommended, for 1080p60 in balanced mode: i7-13700K or Ryzen 7 7800X3D, 16 GB RAM, RTX 4060 8 GB or RX 5700 XT 8 GB.
Players
One to two locally, two online. Steam's official categories are Single-player, Multi-player, PvP, Online PvP, Shared/Split Screen PvP and Shared/Split Screen. There is no co-op category of any kind. The "online co-op" you may see is a Steam user tag, which is not official. Switch online play needs a Nintendo Switch Online membership.
Languages
Japanese voice acting, with English match commentary listed as an audio option on Bandai Namco's own spec sheet. So not "Japanese audio only". Text and subtitles in twelve languages on Steam and the Japanese spec sheet, eleven on Nintendo's listing, which omits Arabic. English is in all of them.
Note for anyone reading old coverage: at announcement, the Switch version was physical pre-order only. Digital pre-orders went live on 18 June 2026. The old line no longer applies.
